Cardiac Sarcoidosis Clinic at SPH
Sarcoidosis is an inflammatory condition involving infiltration of granulomas into various tissues, most commonly the lungs but about 5% of patients may have heart involvement, which can result in heart failure or sudden cardiac death over time. The Cardiac Sarcoidosis Clinic collaborates with multiple healthcare professionals and other specialists including respirologists, rheumatologists and ophthalmologists to provide care for individuals with suspected or confirmed cardiac sarcoidosis. The Clinic is also involved in multi-center clinical trials to further knowledge in the field.
